Science has only recently  started to become cool amongst our local learners.

The credit for this can go to our homegrown genius of  Thawte fame, Mark Shuttleworth.

Mark initiated many projects with a direct benefit to his home country. Most notably, he founded the Hip2b2  initiative. This has made it cool for kids to study maths and science. And we really need engineers, scientists, and mathematicians.

So we could look forward to a greater number of young students finding an interest in science or chemistry.
